Van der Valk Amsterdam-Amstel

In April 2016, the first pile was driven into the ground for the new construction of the first Van der Valk hotel within Amsterdam's ring road. Hotel Van der Valk Amsterdam-Amstel, with an area of 14,400 m² GFA, is a four-star plush hotel with a building in the shape of an 'L' and a tower some sixty meters high.

Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel also has its own parking garage with 131 parking spaces and six charging stations for electric cars.

Conference and meeting center

The hotel has 206 luxury hotel rooms and features a conference and meeting center with 11 multifunctional rooms. All rooms are named after famous parks and markets in Amsterdam, such as De Dam, Vondelpark and Bloemenmarkt, and are equipped with professional audio-visual equipment, natural daylight, free hi-speed wifi and ClickShare wireless presentation system. In addition, there is an exclusive lounge for events called Club Pampus. This lounge offers access to the heated outdoor pool and is perfect for unique parties and meetings.

3 restaurants

Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel has no less than three restaurants. à la carte restaurant Amstelle features international dishes with an Amsterdam touch, buffet restaurant 't IJ offers an extensive buffet with Live Cooking and a grandiose pizza oven, and bar Moqum is a great place to lounge with a cocktail and bites by the fireplace.

Wellness and fitness center

In addition, the hotel has a spacious wellness and fitness center on the third floor with an area of more than 210 square meters. Wellness De Tropen features include a traditional sauna, infrared sauna, Turkish steam bath, waxing salon by Delete Waxing and a heated outdoor pool on the rooftop terrace.

Accessibility

In addition to the extensive indoor facilities, the hotel's location near the A10 Ring Road exit at Amstel interchange is also attractive. Schiphol Airport is fifteen minutes away by car, the hotel is located within Amsterdam's ring road and metro station Amsterdam Overamstel is a five-minute walk away.

 

AMSTELIUS Green Building Group

Amstelius coordinated the plan development on behalf of client and developer Burginvest B.V. in collaboration with the construction team that included OZ Architects and structural engineer Van Rossum.

As project manager, we supervised the application for the necessary environmental permits and zoning change and concluded an anterior agreement for the hotel development with the municipality of Amsterdam. We also ensured that the building plot was cleared and handed over ready to build to the contractor Pleijsier Bouw. This required the necessary utility connections/pipes to be rerouted.

After the final tendering of the project by the developer, Amstelius supervised the project management and project management for the realization of the shell for this hotel complex. Subsequently, the handover to Van der Valk was coordinated on behalf of the building owner.

The installation of the installation technology and the finishing of the complex was carried out by tenant Van der Valk itself.
